Oh great post! We are working on some leaf litterfall and wood fall data and I was wrangling with how to roll temperature into it.
That’s so awesome! Statistics in the service of science. Also there’s just something wonderful about that sentence, with the unusual word “literfall” and the image of someone wrangling and rolling temperature in. That’s what it’s all about.
I believe that litterfall is misspelled in the last sentence.

I am excited about it! We are working on it today. It’s sending us in a different and more robust direction for the model. This will eventually end up in the hands of the some land and water managers who can use it for targeted restoration or transitioning.
That’s statistics in the service of science and even conservation! Good luck on the project.
