“Evidence-Based Practice Is a Two-Way Street” (video of my speech at SREE)

Here’s the talk I gave a few months ago at the Society of Research on Educational Effectiveness. Enjoy.

  1. My observation is that a literary bent in education is very helpful. Nuance in quite absent in my own observations, as that one audience comment suggests. In that sense your comment, ‘maybe statistics should never been invented’. Maybe it would be beneficial to ask students themselves what they think would improve their learning. They do have opinions about it.

  2. In other words, findings always seem so sanitized.
