Americans get two choices in each election (I realize there are often more than two candidates on the ballot, but for whatever reason the two main parties get 98% of the vote in each election even if everyone hates them). If the Democrats are in power, and you don't like what they are doing, then the only way to register your disapproval is to vote Republican. Even if they are going to do the exact same thing.
