  1. I agree with their claim that there has been a regrettable trend in social sciences toward causal analysis — and only causal analysis. But, in any case, to do causal analysis, you have to do the “quantitative descriptions” first, and it is nice to have a venue for publishing these descriptions. The context (i.e., digital media) is interesting too. And community-based OA (HOPE) is always good.
