New blog hosting!

Hi all. We’ve been having some problems with the blog caching, so that people were seeing day-old versions of the posts and comments. We moved to a new host and a new address, https://statmodeling.stat.columbia.edu, and all should be better.

Still a couple glitches, though. Right now it doesn’t seem to be possible to comment. We hope to get that fixed soon (unfortunately it’s Friday evening and I don’t know if anyone’s gonna look at it over the weekend), will let you know when comments work again. Regularly scheduled posts will continue to appear.

Comments work too now!

This is at least the 3rd RSS feed I’ve subscribed to for this blog…

FYI for those who need to update:

  3. I really really don’t see why you dropped andrewgelman.com I mean… bad move there, redirect is not the same thing.

Glad things will all work smoothly now.

Might we have a mini html editor GUI? Then we could insert quotes and links and some formatting. Just pk one of these: https://wordpress.org/plugins/tags/html-editor/

Please reset the browser tab icon.

This looks not nearly frustrating enough. I want my money back.

Up until now, the summary of a post on the main page would display one total for the comments, but when you clicked through to the post page the number would usually be higher. Now, the number on the post page matches what the main page said there would be. How do I regain access to the secret bonus comments?

Test to see if I can post from Firefox. Also, I still see the post from Oct 2018 on RStudio as the current post. May be a caching problem because on Safari it shows the current post.

Test to see whether my comment is accepted.
